Can wearing your dentures too long lead to facial discomfort? I sleep with mine, and only take the out to clean them.

Wearing dentures too long doesn’t seem to be linked to facial discomfort, but usually results in inflammation of the palate, or bacterial infections like candidiasis (yeast). Taking them out to clean is definitely crucial, but it is also best to allow the tissue under your dentures to breathe overnight to prevent damage or infection.
