You searched for: What’s A Good Lotion To Use On My Face With Acne?

I’m acne-prone, and although I don’t have any blemishes on my skin right now.. my skin is dry in certain spots. What’s a good brand of lotion to use on my face that won’t clog my pores or cause me to break out again?

Neutrogena face lotions, Clearasil astringents and Noxema face wash are good for non-expensive over the counter acne creams.

If you have acne you’ve probably tried all the over the counter products and maybe even the prescription products on the market. Perhaps they don’t work for you or they irritate your skin and dry it out. There are other options. Herbal treatments and nutritional supplements can also help with acne, either applied directly to the skin or taken orally.
Zinc supplements worked wonders for me. I take 50 milligrams a day, twice daily and it helps keep my skin clearer than any prescription I’ve ever tried. You can find Zinc at a grocery store or drug store in the aisle with vitamin and mineral supplements. At Wal-Mart it’s only $2.13 a bottle. You can also order from catalogs and online websites.
Herbs that work wonders at clearing up acne are: Echinacea taken orally and applied externally to the skin, Oregon grape root applied as a cream, tea tree oil applied to the skin, oregano and basil oil applied to the skin or taken orally.
Be careful using any new product because you may be sensitive to it and if you are using any prescriptions or other topical acne treatments you might have to watch out for reactions. Check with your dermatologist to make sure it is alright to use any herbal treatments with the medicine you are already using.

You can try cetaphil, it is formulated for sensitive skin and it is particularly good for people with acne. However they are a bit pricier than the regular supermarket moisturisers

Cetaphil is a high recommended lotion for dry skin. Neutrogena aren’t recommended as my friend was told. Or anything such as Olay or Maybelline. A lot of their products don’t work good. Anyways, so I recommened her Cetaphil and the first thing she said was WOW. It’s expensive. It’s going to be more expensive then other products but it’s sure a working product. So, good luck and I hope this helped!
REPLY TO: Ugh people will tell you try this try that….but it’s just a downhill battle. I have tried Nuetrogena, Clinique, Clean and Clear, Clearsil, but right now I am just using St. Ives Apricot blackhead and blemish control twice a day and scrubbing my face for two minutes with it and my face seems to be better. try it see if it works. If not talk to a dermotoligist.
Alright, so your telling us that what we’re writing is just a downhill battle. So what makes you think what your saying isn’t either? St. Ives Apricot blackhead removes blackhead and that’s what it’s for. It only damanges the pores even more if you try to rub it against your skin. It may work good on you but if you have read, his situation is that his skin is dry in certain spots and that he’s acne-prone. If he tried products like what your recommending, his face will get worst. Cetaphil is a highly recommeded product.
A word to the guy. Everyone’s going to tell you their opinion. See which one has the most same answers to. Good luck.

Same problems here, I use Cetaphil. And I am very happy with it. ALthough a little dab will do you. It doesn’t take much of it to moisturize your face.

THE BEST MEDICINE FOR FACE ACNE IS:
    PRO-ACTIVE
I used to have really bad skin problems. I started using pro-active and now my face is as smooth as a babies bottom. They have a great formula and system.
You start with a deep cleanser, then you use this solution that sort of dries your face out a little (it’s like a tensioner), and then you use the repairing lotion.
They also have a sulfur type face mask for deep penetration cleansing and also a face mask.
It is really great stuff and pretty affordable too.
Best of luck and if you try it I know you’ll be pleased.

Clean and Clear dual action Moisturizer. It’s moisturizing and keeps your face clear (oil-free, and contains salicylic acid to prevent/treat acne).
