    Staph infections are caused by bacterial and clitrimazole is an anti-fungal cream and betamethasone dipropionate is to help with itching and inflamation so I would say no.

    Unfortunately, no. It would have to be an antibiotic and the cream you mentioned is a combination of anti-fungal/ steroid crm. You need to have a Dr. take a culture to even know if it is staph. Once they get the results of the culture from the lab, they can tell you the specific antibiotic that will take care of the infection…otherwise you are just playing a guessing game because not every antibiotic is susceptible to staph. (By the way, there are two kinds of staph- methicillin resistant and methicillin sensitive, with the sensitive being less severe)
