I have “white girl” hair, and its really wavy and curly. Would hair relaxing work to give me straight hair and reduce my styling time?

Yes, it would work on you. You should make sure that you interview a stylist that understands wavy hair. Sometimes if your hair has a strong wave pattern and isn’t as kinky the relaxer doesn’t always straighten your hair (you could end up frizzy and dry). So just make sure that they understand your hair.

You can but you have a different kind than us. I would talk to a hair stylist about it.

I am not black….but i have relaxed my hair with an “african american product” and it worked GREAT! it was straight for three months…and i did it at home so it was no biggie…but if your hair thin…i wouldn’t do it…because the products may be harmful to thin hair and you lose a lot in the process (SOMETIMES not all the time) If you do plan to do it…make sure you treat your hair well…conditioning the ends, and what not!

DONT relax your hair. Flat iron it or get it pressed.

No. Anyone can use it, but I wouldn’t recommend it if your hair is thin. It will just make it thinner. Also, its very damaging. You shouldn’t do it.
