It probably is a bit to extreme however being aggressive in the beginning can be helpful in the long run. I would do all of this for about a month or so and see how you skin is doing. You should expect a lot of peeling and dryness so you may want to get a lightweight moisturizer (dermalogica has one called Active Moist that’s great.) After a month you may want to back off of the Panoxyl and just get a good foaming Gel Cleanser along with a mild exfoliant (use the exfoliant twice a week.) It is important that you don’t stay on the differin or meds for to long. Your skin will build an immunity to the products and it won’t work well anymore. Once your breakout has cleared up try switching to a professional skin care line to help maintain your skin. I personally like the Dermalogica products. They are not to expensive and give good results if used correctly.
I swear by Clean and Clear acnecontrol. It’s better than anything I’ve used, including Proactive and prescription things from a doctor.
Use water-based for face.
Stuff like Clearasil, oxy, etc aren’t that really good cuz it will dry up the skin.
Water-based works cuz it doesn’t have perfume or alcohol or anything that will make your skin dry out.
I would recommend Cetaphil or anything along those lines that are water-based.
I think it’s too much!

Five years ago I was on the except same regimen except I took tetracycline once a day… I had to stop using the panoxyl because it made my forehead peel really bad and my skin turned dark brown and than I had to use a skin lightener to get rid of the scaring left over and my skin is not sensitive at all and like you I felt it was to much but my acne was not clearing so I am assuming the differin gel was not strong enough for me and talked with my dermatologist and they gave me tazroac gel which at the time I thought it was nothing because it was only applied to my skin but women could have birth defects and took me off of everything else including the antibiotic and it did the trick but my skin peeled for like 5 months but I still am acne free. I guess it depends on how bad your skin is and how much work you are willing to do to get rid of your acne.
well, if the doc prescibed it, then it can’t be bad right? but if it irritates ur skin, call him up.
A known side effect of differin is itchy skin. It will pass.
I wouldnt worry about what the doc prescribed. you never mentioned how long you have been doing this procedure. if you have been doing this for over a week now without any bad side effects I think you should be fine.
