You searched for: Makeup? Splurging? Please Answer, Just Curious.?
Ok so I have been testing out different Sephora and Drugstore brands. I wanted to know what you guys “splurge” on, and don’t regret. For me (if I could afford to) I would splurge on skincare products by Murad.
So what stuff would you splurge on and not regret?

I never skimp on skincare, so I use Clinique 3-Step System in Dry Combination skin type and it’s the best skincare line I have ever used. I also buy the Shu eumura eyelash curler from Sephora, it’s about $12 and worth every penny! I also seem to spend my money on all kinds of different lip gloss. I think I’m obsessed. I love M.A.C. Lipglass, C.O. Bigelow lip balm, Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush, and Clinique Superbalm. For hand hand creams and good body lotions, I always use Burts Bees. They’re all natural and work very well. Another thing at Sephora I can’t live without it Benefit’s Bad Gal lash mascara, plus their packaging is so cute! I don’t think I regret buying any of this because I saved a couple of paychecks for this stuff and I really enjoy this stuff!
Anything going on my face I splurge on, because Clinique is fragrance and allergy free and some drugstores brands are not so it’s best for my sensitive skin. You get a more personalized skin care regimen also with their three step skin care system :]
generally, splurge on foundation, eyeshadow, concealer, and lip stick. maybe some lipglosses
do NOT splurge on pencils or nail polish or mascara. and blush. clinique and covergirl pencils are practically the same, nail polish is all the same, and mascara dries out.
you must splurge on foundation b.c drugstore brands arent as smooth. lipstick could be either way, but it should be smooth and creamy. drugstore eyeshadow looks chalky, so splurge. it should also feel smooth and creamy, although it is powder
also check out magazines. they have a list of reccommended products. some are $$$$$$$, some are $$, but you get the best for you money, always. b/c they try the products and give u reviews
this is what’s in my bag(s). i don’t stick to one brand. i just use products i love. i keep this list of everything i have on a spreadsheet…organized by brand, product, store, and price so i can shop for replacements easier. this is just a list of what i currently have. i delete things i don’t care to buy again, so it changes often as i find new favorites. so i guess the whole thing has been a splurge…lol! but i have worked in the beauty business for years, so some was discounted. the ones with *** are faves.

for skin care, i use Merle Norman Luxiva products, or Avon Anew Retroactive products. both have done wonders for my skin. skin care should always be on the top of the list… a fresh canvas is the best to work with.
uhhhh sephora is the besttttttttt
definitly gvenchy, benefit, seishedo aaaand anything skin care. love that store
bare minerals products, lancome mascara, or for more coverage chanel foundation. also i do not skimp on hair care products. i use redken-no exceptions.
Yes, I don’t mind paying more money to get a makeup or skincare product that won’t harm my skin, since I have a very sensitive and easy to get acne kind a skin.
I never regret splurging on: cleanser, moisturizer, night cream, primer and foundation.
The most important thing, your skin feels good with the product. If the drugstore products work for you, stick with it.
i splurge and then pause. but when i do splurge, i do it on benefit, 2 faced, lorac, shiseido, etc. etc. sephora is the best =]
Love MAC makeup!
My Guilt-Free Splurges:

-Clinique ButterShine Lipstick. [$14] The shade I am currently using (and am VERY happy with) is called Ambrosia. Really does feel like butter on my lips! LUV!
-BareMinerals Mineral Veil (untinted). [$19] This absorbs all the oil on my skin, making it look flawless!
-Clinique Long Pretty Lashes Mascara. [$14] Does exactly as the name says. YAY!
-Cargo Lip Gloss tins in Chattanooga. [$20] Beautiful pinks!!
-Sephora Lip Gloss in Forever Pink. [$10] I get this when I can’t get Cargo. Still really pretty!!! and it benefits the Breast Cancer Foundation!!
-Hard Candy glitter eye liner. [$14.50] I use the black, silver, and plum ones! its so pretty! soooooooooo prettyyyyyyyyyyyy! it really does sparkle, and plum brings my brown eyes out. Silver is for evenings! black is whenever! i luv it!!
These things I splurge on and NEVER regret. The seal of proof: even my HUSBAND can’t complain! yay!

MAC compact powder, Bobbi Brown blush, and DEFINITELY good brushes.
Those are a must.
Sephora, to a girl, is like being in a candy store as a kid.
I love that place!
From there I love I.D Bare Minerals. Their powder foundation and mineral are the bomb!
And smashbox, benefit, and a lot of the other lines sold there aare SO cute. i love it!
But my makeup splurge is on MAC.
I love their eye shadows, liners, and mascaras.
All of my eye make up is from MAC.
Idk, I spend a lot of money trying to find the perfect product and MAC never fails!
HONESTLY I have splurged on many products even Murad, I truly have found that Bee Luscious Cosmetics is very reasonable in comparison for the length of time it lasts which is on everything 6-20 months on skincare, I have had great results. I would Love to splurge on their Christmas Makeup Kit Deluxe its truly caught my eye.
i slurge on foundation, blush, powder
i save on nail polish, lipgloss, moisturizer, facewash,astringent,shampoo/conditioner, eyeliner and masacra(rarely use eyemakeup) i think the products from the drug store work just as good as department store so i buy alot of stuff from there except for foundation, powder, blush bcuz i find the department store brands are a bit better in quaility, easier to apply, and better shades. i also think its easier to find your right shade cuz the assistant is there with you!! but dont waste money on lippgloss or nailpolishes especially bcuz the drug stores brands are amaze!
Clinique foundation and powder, and Dior lip gloss. I love the stuff!
I am in love with Bare Minerals face makeup and MAC everything else. I used to be a drugstore makeup girl and one day I stepped into a department store and just fell in love. I try to go everyweek to get something new from MAC. I will NEVER go back to the drugstore. Oh I also only use Clinique Skin care products now too!!!
I splurge on Artistry and NAO cosmetics. They are only found online on my website, and they have a 180-day satisfaction guarantee, so definitely NO REGRETS! =) Plus, I get paid to buy and wear them! =) Nothing beats that!
Mostly, I splurge on lipsticks, lip gloss, eyeshadows, and their latest trend collections. Artistry and NAO hire the best 3rd party firms that are experts in the fashion industry, so they have the best and trendiest colors in the market.
Artistry and NAO are private, debt-free companies, that use plant-based ingredients. They keep costs low due to their unique word-of-mouth marketing but keep their integrity and quality high by investing in state-of-the-art, NASA technology to use as tools for testing their products on human subjects (no animal testing). NAO is happily endorsed by Jeannie Mai, who has her own TV show on StirTV and has appeared numerous times on MTV, TRL!, and owned her own celebrity makeup service. Jeannie has also done work w/ Baby Phat, Enyce, and others. Artistry is in the top 5 for skin care and cosmetics brands in the world, in the prestige category. Others in the category and in the top 5 are Clinique, Estee Lauder, Lancome, and Shiseido (research by Euromonitor International).
What I will be splurging on this Christmas is the Artistry Essentials makeup kit. For $59, you get mineral foundation, concealer, color quad, lip shine, mascara, face brush, and eyeliner brush in a cute makeup bag.
mac eyeshadows they are very long lasting!!! and they come in every color!!!
