My face was scarred from a car battery explosion when I was a teenager. As a result, I have no love life whatsoever. I have even overheard a woman tell her kid that I was the bogeyman. Women look at me and avoid me. how can I get them to see the real me under the scars?

it depends what you do but at most id say once a week because otherwise you risk drying out your skin too much. it doesnt have to been done every week though, theres no real time guidelines.

So I have dry skin, after I wash my face it feels dry and a little tight. Throughout the day I cannot see an ounce of oil on my face its very dry. So I moisturize at night with cetaphil moisturizing cream and it moisturizes well.
I use a small amount but after a few minutes when I look in the mirror my face is very oily and shiny. It then looks like I have oily skin!
Is this normal, does that mean my oil glands are secreting oil to the surface of the skin because when I don’t moisturize I don’t see any oil on my face.
My skincare regimen
Morning: Wash with Olay dual action cleanser and toner
(oil free, non-comodeginic, no alcohol)
Moisturize with olay spfಏ lotion (oil free, non-comodeginic)
Night: Wash with Olay dual action cleanser and toner
(oil free, non-comodeginic, no alcohol)
Moisturize: Cetaphil mousterizing cream (for dry skin, non-comedeginc )
Exfoliate: 1-2 times per week with olay cream cleanser
I have dry, acne prone skin.

I don’t consider myself naturally good looking. My friends say I’m pretty but I don’t get heaps of attention from guys or anything (well I get a bit but not what I’d consider a lot).
I’ve always felt naturally ugly and I go to extremes to fix my appearance. I do the following:
1) I try to work out at least 3 times/ week
2) No sugar or fast food – I try to eat lots of vegetables and lean protein
3) I use very good skincare products and sunscreen every day
4) I try to dress nicely
5) I get my hair chemically straightened so it is sleek and straight
I still don’t feel that pretty but I don’t know if I have body dysmorphic disorder because I have felt ugly and been on a diet since I was 11.
Do you think an ugly or average looking person can turn pretty with enough effort? Also are there any other suggestions you have for what I can do to look good?

My friend is rich and some friends and I thought we could chip in and buy a skin care set. Is Jo Malone a good brand?
