Basically, my cosmetics, haircare, skincare and all that stuff has increased in the past year and I just can’t help myself from buying them. I love make-up and my hair curlers/straightners but my mum has a serious problem with me wearing that sort of stuff. We have tons of arguements and stuff. When I got angry I just told her to get used to it and that it’s my body so my rules.
I feel so much more confident when I wear make-up and have my hair done, maybe I’ve just got a low self esteem or maybe I’m just addicted!
I don’t know what to do because my mum is constantly banging on about this and it’s not about the money, just my health.
I can’t go natural because I’d feel so ugly, any suggestions?
(:
xx

I know that this is a really strange question, but there is a reason why I’m asking it. I’m of Cherokee, English, Irish, German, Scottish, and French extraction. Most people would consider me white, but many can tell that I have Native American ancestry, because I have high cheekbones, dark eyes and hair, and a slightly olive complexion. A guy asked me recently if I had Native American ancestry, because he thought that I sort of looked like it. He also said that I had a nice, clear complexion, and he said that Native Americans often had clear skin. Is this true? I was just wondering, because my skin is actually oily and acne-prone, but I try to take good care of it by exfoliating every day and using various skin care products. So far, my attempts to keep my skin clear have been pretty successful. What are your experiences, though? Do Native Americans normally have clear complexions, or do they sometimes just get zits like a lot of other people do?

The person no 1: smokes (cigarettes, a box a day), has a glass of red wine every evening, eats healthy, gets vitamin supplements, exercises and walks a lot, gets lots of sleep, thinks positively, takes care of his/her skin, body and mental health.
The person no 2: doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink alcohol, not enough sleep really, sits in front of the computer the whole day, than sits on the couch in front of tv the whole evening eating junk food. No exercise, rarely a good chat with a friend, doesn’t care about skincare or body, thinks positively too.
I know that none of these are perfect, nobody is anyway, but what lifestyle seems healthier to you? Tell me you reasons if you can!

I have permed African American hair.In the summer I like to wet my hair and leave my hair with a curly, wet look when it comes to going to the pool, beach, water parks, etc. However, I can’t seem to make a curl stay. My hair becomes poofy and stiff and just looks horrible. What products work best with my situation, and what do you think is the best procedure to make my hair curl and stay?
